So, what is it that our well-known and reputable business can offer? 

Perhaps the two most valuable services we offer are the provision of both residential and commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPC’s), and Homebuyers Reports. 

Anybody who has rented or sold a property since 2007, either residential or commercial, will be aware that an EPC is required by law. EPC’s are valid for 10 years and provide the energy efficiency rating for the property. The certificate also includes recommendations on ways to improve the buildings energy efficiency and help the environment. 

For rental properties, there are Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) that a property must meet, or it cannot be let. The current minimum requirement is set at ‘E’. Should your property fall below this, then our assessors can offer advice on how to gain compliance. The process will involve examining key features of a property, such as wall and roof insulation, heating, lighting, and hot water sources. 

For people purchasing a residential property, our Homebuyers Reports will give our clients the peace of mind that the property they are buying does not have any hidden defects which could cost thousands of pounds to rectify. We will report on the general condition of the property and grounds, and identify any areas of concern, such as roof defects, cracks and damp.
